Golf 1.8TSI Timing chain replacement kit

Hi,

I've read enough about issues on these cars and I'm replacing the timing chain in my 2010 Golf 1.8 TSI before anything happens, it got 156000km with the original chain. No noise or anything but the previous owners has also done the dreaded longlife service intervals so I'm not taking any chances. Been looking at a few kits but they all contain different amount of parts.

The basic "kits" contain just the chain tensioner, timing chain and the guiding rails.

Should the other parts also be replaced? Chains and tensioner for the balance shaft? Also, must the timing cover be changed?

A friend is doing the job for me but I've been tasked to get the right parts. Engine code is CDAA.

Thanks in advance

/ Simon
