Stock is 225/45-17 and suggested winter is a 205/45-17.

I know the wheels they are on currently have a larger hub, but I can get the hub centric adapter rings and that will allow me to run the wheels, but unsure about overall size.
Wheel offset will be critical here...

Congrats, man! I think this thing is perfect for what you have planned. Car so does not look like it's mileage/age.

A '90 Quattro Coupe popped up on FB for $2500. For that price I want to jump on it so I can join the old Audi club, but the spouse would probably throw me out.

      Congrats!

I remember helping pick up my friend's 2001 S4 from the dealer when new...loved that car! And so did all the US car mags in comparos vs the M3 and C43 at the time.

And you sure beat the price of this silver 2002 S4 w/ 215K miles on AT - in Marietta, GA of all places.

I the internet. I've been looking for something like this myself recently (clicky).

You'll want to scroll down to the bottom of the page for clearance descriptions.
Based on your specs, here's what I found:
      • Suspension: Tire is 4mm closer to suspension components. Acceptable for most cars.
      • Fenders: Tire will stick out 16mm farther. Rim will stick out 12mm farther.
      • Wheelwell: Will fill out the well by an extra 9mm. Acceptable for most cars.
      • Brakes: 100% clear (leaves even more room than OE).
      • Scrub Radius: Positive scrub radius (about 3mm).

      Worth a shot. Full send!

The VTAKs would overheat the ice and the car would fall into the lake.
