My father still has one of these, it can 16 hours worth of recording on 4 sides.

Why make cars no one wants to buy?
I recently put my money where my mouth was, as i knew it was the last of the manual wagon for VW in a desirable color combo...

... in 15 years, the TCL curmudgeons will be lining up begging to buy my car, because they "rember the good ol'days of the manual transmission"

.... ill just smirk as i list it on BAT for a mint....

Vinyl is way less of a hassle than manual transmissions.
      Discogs is great.

I used to use Popsike a good bit to gauge the going rates for certain stuff, but now it appears they want you to pay for registraion and only offer a few free searches. I typed in Nirvana/Melvins "here she comes now" split 7" single and was astonished to see some of the prices paid --- I sold my copy around 15 years ago and got $325 for mine which was a great feeling given the fact I only paid $5 for it at the record store back when it was released.

      :

Automobile Mag has an article listing available manual trans for 2020 and includes take rates for 2019,
      it's pretty intereting:

      https://www.automobilemag.com/news/2...-transmission/

Any other good articles/lists which feature take rates for all the different mantrans available?

I feel like I have picked most of the low hanging fruit for music I like vinyl wise. As I get deeper into jazz the prices get scarier and scarier. But I get the feeling prices are only going to continue to go up. I do like to buy records to actually listen to and not just hold though.

Pretty much every major mag has a "MT cars you can buy!" list. They are easy clicks.

What I'm morbidly curious to see is exactly how this count has dropped over time. A scrape of something like Cars.com's spec database could do it but I'm too lazy

      Yeah,
jazz is in a different league altogether.

I also used to collect jazz stuff, but I was primarily focused on hard bop and late 60's freejazz.

Some crazy prices paid for the jazz stuff:

      https://www.collectorsweekly.com/rec...sort=completed

Ironically, one of my most valuable jazz recordings is actually a cd which sells for a fairly high price considering it's a compact disc.

It is unholy to fashion a thread with EVs and manual transmissions. For Chrysler sake, it is heresy, it is forbidden and those who partake in such sins should be spanked. But we stopped doing that because apparently they liked the spanking.

This thread has devolved into an awkward beeyotch slap turned pat on the back. For shame on you all.
