I'd see them up on CL with tacky mods, beat paint, and a child seat in the back. Now they're all gone. There has to be good one hiding in a garage somewhere though.
Sadly most of these people don't live on farms, so we'll never see too many barn finds of these.

      What about a trans swap?

Did find a post on reddit from 2017 by a 17year old kid talking about his first manual trans cars,
so yeah they are out there...

      https://www.reddit.com/r/cars/commen..._honda_accord/

      It looked clean too!

This exact car was for sale in 2017 and in the TCL CL thread. Must be the one the kid bought. I like it, but prefer the EX which has more HP and features.

GRAB this. Do the manual swap when you get around to it. I defy you to find another one in this condition, and besides the trans it’s exactly what you want.

The guy sold it on ebay last night- I was too late. He said he was the original owner, but he owns a used car lot, and dodged most of my questions before proceeding to tell me it was sold, so still on the hunt.

Well you can. But it's really difficult, you have to use this thing called a "search engine". Then you locate them on a "website". Then the person on the other end of the "internets" sends you a box of the parts. It's very complicated.

Does this website have a fancy interface which I can just start typing and the part I want magically appears?

      If not, it's trash.

Yeah- I did see the auction and it had like 50 bids on it, so I don't think he made that up. But I def don't think he was the original owner. There was a very similar one that came up at GCM Chicago, but only had 33k miles on it. They were asking way too much though $12,900. It's gone anyway and was an automatic.

You can swap some OEM parts for the upgrades. You just need an F22A6 head + ECU, an H23 intake manifold, and some simple wiring to control the secondary intake butterflies. I had all that with an intake and bigger but quiet exhaust.... so much fun, at least for me 15 years ago.

Yeah not to mention it had a faded hood, the IR remote system didn't work (and can't be replaced anymore), and there were drill marks in the trim where I guess a cup holder used to be. The guy was FOS. My BS radar was going off hard.

Yeah I've never seen an LX with them. The brochure says those were accessory rims- not sure what the options were on these things since the brochure doesn't list them- I know a roof rack, automatic, leather (EX) and CD player were among them, and I guess these rims too for LX.

I worked at a dealer when these were brand new! You didn't see a lot of people buying the optional accessory wheels back then at least in our area (although it was a fairly wealthy region) nor things like those integrated fog lamps shown in the picture in the above post.

Most folks just bought the cars as they were sold by the factory and didn't change anything to speak of on them. The main reason being
the cars were almost perfect as they came brand new.

    22. 02-14-2020 08:15 PM #47
      Oh they were accesory wheels

Back in the day the accessory wheels i would se on LX models was these , some had gold accents

Do you remember the option list for the wagons?

So Message to OP, aka ice4life

There are plenty of services that will aggregate classified for sales, but being real? you are looking for beyond a unicorn, and besides saying I have specific tastes, this is starting to feel stupid. 95% of these cars if not more are destroyed or in junkyards, you want one, you may have to search or build one.

Also, want a cross between the two? get a B5 A4 wagon, can come in manual or auto.
