It's a 2020 Ram Laramie. It doesn't have all the options, like the big 12' screen or the power running boards, but it has the kit that I want for comfy, safe driving. It has the Hemi V8 and the 8 speed auto, and its a nice simple, smooth performing package. The truck is ultra quiet cruising down the road and tons of room for the family. I'm looking forward to road tripping to Montana after this mess is over. In the mean time, I'll be installed my tri-fold tonneau cover and toolbox.

      This console is super cool.

I love these back seats! So comfortable and they recline!

The Ram Bin has a removable liner. We would put ice in here and store drinks for road trips.

I bought it for employee price and got 0% financing. Could I have done better on price? Probably, but I was not interested in squeezing my own dealership to drop my price $5-$7/ mo. I'm super excited about my truck and really hope to keep it for a long time.

Love it. First place I’d stop if I was getting a full size.

I will be buying an F150 shortly. I thought about the RAM, then remembered I'd rather infect my entire family with COVID than give FCA a singular dollar.

Congrats, It's a really nice truck and they drive surprisingly well for their size. I was looking to buy something earlier this month, but this COVID-crap put a damper on my spirit.

Picked this up yesterday... 0% for 84 months, no payments for 120 days. Too good to pass up. Wife has been wanting 3 rows, and a upgrade from her RX350. Was originally going to get a GX460, but with the 0%, that brought this into the budget.

2019 Yukon Denali with the Ultimate Package and Ultimate Black Edition (wheels, chrome mirrors, I could honestly pass on this stuff, but it was the only one on the lot in black/black)

Not bad at all! Is yours the 8.4 Nav? I would think in the long run, the 12' screen might be more problematic (well because its FCA)...if I was in the market for one, I'd choose something similar to yours but would want one with the moonroof.

Wait, the 0%, 84-month financing deals are real?

That doesn't look like a bad way to spend a lot of time on the highway.

      It's a Hemi.................

Chrysler started the horsepower race (with the Hemi). Early 50's; 160 HP - IIRC.

      Never owned a Chrysler product

      But I've had many VW's

Also did the domestic truck thing.

2020 Silverado RST 5.3L/8AT, 4WD, Z71, leather, etc etc. Gonna be nice to focus the RS3 on pure speed rather than worrying about keeping it DD friendly.

Congrats OP, love the new RAM!

Can't believe the room in back on crew cab models! That said, I think the Tundra extended cab strikes the perfect balance between some competitors extended cab & limo-like crew cab space. Plenty of room for me to sit behind myself and I'm 6' 1".

Thinking about my next truck I keep coming back to a Raptor. Love the extended cab short bed look on those too, reminiscent of regular cab/short bed trucks of my youth I remember wanting...

      Hello,

First time poster, but I enjoy the boards a bit - I'm in the midst of making my Covid-19 purchase, and I could use some advice (I have never purchased a car before). Long story short, going into yesterday I had a good deal setting up for cash purchase of a 2019 GLI S trim DSG. Then I saw the 0 down, 0% APR for 72 month financing come out from VW corporate. Naturally, I inquired. Naturally, the dealer wants to charge a higher purchase price if I go with 0/0/72. My question is, does it actually cost the dealer something to give me 0/0/72 or do they simply get paid the purchase price in full right away from VW corporate with corporate subsequently holding the risk?

Please, help get me into my corona-buggy!

      Thanks,

      foo

PS - I sincerely apologize if a version of this has been asked before.

Dealerships get paid a percentage of the interest charge on a loan if they markup the wholesale rate to a retail rate. Bank might offer 4%, dealer gives it to a consumer at 5%, and they get to keep that percent as extra profit. If it's a 0% loan, they obviously cannot make money arranging the loan for you.

I don't know if VW has a rebate OR 0%. If that's the case, you get one or the other, and that will change the final price of the car. But not the selling price.

However, their selling price of the car is not contingent on how you purchase it. At least in California, it is 100% illegal for them to say "I'll sell you the car for $30,000 if you take standard rate financing, but if you want 0% our selling price is $31,000."

Nice pickup, OP - the RAMs are good looking trucks. Lol at the trigonometry under the console lid though.

That sucks that you have to press the brake to start it. In fact it reminds me of my motorcycle that required me to press the clutch in while starting it. Which I was happy to bypass. Good riddance.

Would you mind PMing me with details about your purchase if you are amenable to sharing? My wife has been asking me for a Yukon for a while now and her birthday is coming up. The dealership I got my Buick is ordered closed (Northern NJ) but I have my salesman's contact information and I'm sure will be willing to make a deal on a Denali.

The short answer is yes, it does cost the dealer. The incentives are from VW’s finance arm, not the dealer itself. VW is essentially using the incentives to buy down the rate.
