Awesome. That is all that really needs to be said.

I also request a 5K and 10K update on your feelings for this green machine. It's one of the things on my list that I love on paper, love in person, but fear I'd grow tired of as a daily within 3 months of ownership.

      Congratulations!
After going through a divorce before, I can only imagine how awesome it felt for this to come together. I love the color!

Looking forward to seeing more reviews of life with it.

My friend recently picked up a used one and I’m itching to get behind the wheel, even just for a cold start.

Amazing write up! I only wish my assburgers-ailed brain could write that well. Maybe when I rent another Uhaul truck.
I gave up dailing old and rare cars and became a normie.

Congrats on the divorce, and I mean that with sincerity. Having BTDT , dealing with the wreckage and recovering, I can honestly say that life is too short to spend with someone you don't really like. And it doesn't sound like kids are part of the equation which would have made a bad situation much worse.

Congrats on the cars, too. I don't know if I've ever been as simultaneously aroused and revolted by the same thing before I read your post.

Very nice buy! Nice write-up as well, as others have also said.

After hitting the deer with the Acadia, were you worried about a repeat with the Shelby?

Augh! I can only blame old age for forgetting to post any interior pictures. You're absolutely right, the combination of Grabber Lime with the Recaro interior is what pushed the search radius out to the nowheres between the somewheres. I've read quite a few posts ragging on the Recaros on Mustang forums, with owners complaining that the only people who can fit in them are skinny-jean (you'll pardon the expression; it's theirs, not mine) soy boys. I'm pushing 220 with a 32" waist, so maybe that's simply a way of other buyers justifying being fat.

      At any rate, interior pictures!

It's hard to tell, but the cloth weave on the bolsters is designed to mimic the look of carbon fiber. If it were just a bit more pronounced, it would look like it were trying too hard:

Every company sources their microsuede from a different name brand. In VAG-world, it's Alcantara. For Ford, it's Miko. It covers the center of the seats, the door panels, and the steering wheel:

One of the nicer changes is the addition of Sync 3, which also includes AA/CarPlay and a much larger touch screen. It's done away with the weird Volvo-style phone button dialpad, which I don't think anyone actually used:

And it now has an always-on cellular modem that can be accessed from the FordPass app:

The stability-control defreat, the launch-control enable, and the exhaust bypass switch all next to each other:

Chassis numbers are preceded by a letter for the year, then a sequential build. F for 2015, G for 2016, H for 2017, J for 2018, K for 2019, and L for 2020. So in this case my car was 816th of however many were actually built. There were 2000 planned, but actual production seems to be off because of COVID-19 line closures.

Something else that I hadn't twigged to until I bought this car is just how much more sense the film Logan Lucky makes, what with all the GT350 product placement in it:

No direct knowledge, but take a look at the multiple reorganizations that have taken place at Ford Performance from 2017 onward. A person or two in the know has stated that there was a very real chance the GT500 could be canceled after its debut but before it went on sale (which didn't happen, of course).

Exotic, bespoke engines, carbon fiber wheels and relaunching the GT aren't exactly very mainstream automotive activities that the beancounters are fond of, and when the head honcho who is the biggest advocate of the program resigns, well...

congrats on the 350, you'll learn to deal with the tramlining and holding two hands on the wheel fast enough, otherwise enjoy it.

It’s pretty clear that a car like this will not be produced again by an American manufacturer.

Im surprised they ever got it green lit at all, given that this motor will go into no other Ford product.

Awesome writeup, Awesome color, Terribly steep driveway! It would pain me to hear the scraping noises every time. Is there a creative way to approach your garage such that it can be avoided?

This is the content TCL was meant to have, not 14 page long threads on minivans and CUVs.

Looks reasonable enough to easily get a low car in and out with fairly slight angles.

OP, amazing car and write up. Can't imagine there are too many other grabber lime GT350s in the area, maybe I'll catch a glimpse of the car on 405 at some point

Cool car, but the tramlining would ruin it for me.

So, uh, I just got a notification from FedEx that I had a package delivered from Ford Performance. I'm kinda geeked out right now; can't lie.

This thing's big - it's about 15" on each side:

      A letter of thanks:

      A certificate of authenticity:

A pocket on the top flap with the original dealer brochure tucked into it:

A hardcover book on the history of the GT350:

A USB stick containing some videos about the R&D of the model:

And my very own metal flat-plane crank with a cast-metal stand, that has my chassis number on it:
