Minus the massive useless wing, I like it.

The 10th gen Civic has aged remarkably well. Hard to believe it’s time for a replacement already.

Strange the it's the Type R out there first, but at least that means they're bringing it back for another generation.

      No, no it hasn't....

the current civic (hatch) is a fantastic car, very practical, efficient, and fun. But a looker it is not.

But I continue to be surprised how many civic hatches I see everywhere. They seem just as common as the sedan around here, so they're doing something right

The window belt line certainly looks more like the Accord and most other traditional sedans vs the existing Civic Hatch where the belt line gradually moves higher at the rear door. Other than the fake intakes and wing it looks like they tamed down the exterior lines from the existing Civic. My guess is that the 2022 Civic sedan will look more like a traditional sedan than the existing Civic.

I never said it was a looker. It just hardly seems like 5 years have gone by already.

I'm not hating it, sans the ridiculous 90s spoiler on the back. And, I see they're coming out with a Toyota-style clunky tacked on screen that the Germans are either slowly phasing out, or refining the design of so they don't stick out as much.

      I like the proportions.
There's something old school BMW about the shape and the forward leaning grille.

I wonder if Honda is going to push the limit on size again and make it a midsize this time.

Well, no doubt about it from those pics: this one has a volume knob

I agree with the sedan. If the 1.5T dilution problem is not longer an issue, that is.

The hatchback looks like an abortion recovered.

Just to add a new twist, this could be an ILX replacement. Honda could be focusing on updating the Acura sedans ahead of the Accord/Civic updates.

I wonder if Honda is still working on their multiple stroke length motor/if the next Civic will have any new engine tech.

It was massively ugly to begin with, so of course it "ages" well.

Looks like an evolutionary change this time, influence from the Accord trickling down.

Current Civic looks great with the right trim IMO.
