recently purchased a used R and was trying to do cruise control for the 500 mile trip home but could not figure it out and got this on the dash.

How do i get rid of this?

My ACC and BSM turned off on my first shift to reverse after turning the car on until I cleared a comm error daily code in my car. Being a used R.. hope nothing more serious is wrong with it (because your indicator triangle is on, which is what came on with my 7.5 Rabbit when the system wasn’t working..).

Why do you need traction control off while you're crusing down the highway? Did you turn traction control off yourself? ACC won't work with it off.

I was just messing around with setting to see if i could activate ACC.

This car was involved in a prior accident so maybe has something to do with it.

If it was front end, most likely. If they disconnect the front radar, it clears the memory from it and requires reprogramming from VW. It’s a $500 job, but I would hope you’re covered under warranty.
