      Pointless to get hung up on stock HP ratings IMO. It will come down to how it actually puts power down. For examaple Q50RS and M340i are basically identical in power and real weight. They are within 2 MPH of 1/4 mile trap speeds. But the Bimmer is nearly a second faster to 60 and through the quarter. I feel like this will lean more towards the Bimmer side than the Infiniti's side, but the point is that in the end performance is all that matters.

      Well they have like what, 3 other Type-S cars they're competing against? None made over 300hp, so that's a pretty easy ad campaign.

      Nice looking cars, however I figured auto manufacturers would give up on sedans by now, especially pricey "luxury sports" sedans.

      eh, 354 ft/lbs from presumably low rpm (<2000) and modern turbo responsiveness is fine with me. I do hope those are more BMW #s than... well Honda numbers I guess

      thing is i'd feel better if its N55 power (and potential) but with honda reliability aka no rando plastic bits that have to be replaced.

      Yeah, 355 is at the low end of the ball park but it really all comes down to how underrated the motor is and how much power the tuning companies can find. For instance, Infiniti rates the base 3.0TT at "300hp" but in reality it makes close to that to the wheels and uses the same turbos as the the 400hp red sport version so it's really only a reflash away from around 500hp with some bolt ons.

      I've found with most new cars it ultimately comes down to how much power the trans and SH-AWD system can handle and to a lesser extent how understressed the stock turbos are (those are easier to swap out). My guess it they'll have the strengthen the 10 speed for the 354 ft lbs so I really hope they don't cheap out there but I also heard the SH-AWD could barely handle the NA V6 power levels.

      you have to remember that they cut a ton of weight from the system, which they decided for instead of beefing up the durability. I'd hope that the shawd 3 at least allows for better power delivery from the lower gears with no sacrifice to durability.
