Hello, Proton isn't anything spectacular,no. I had a small 15 Watt Proton car audio amp back in the early '90's in my Mk1 Rabbit GTI and it was just fair at best.I am not 100% certain, but most off-brand inexpensive electronics from that era are just re-badged Pioneer,Sanyo,AKA, big-name brands.
If they still work, why not try to get some enjoyment out of them? Most of my older Philips home audio stuff stopped working after I boxed them up and bought newer/fancier stuff.I tried to revive a really good 90's era Philips 9000-series 5 disc changer a few years back, but it wouldn't read discs anymore and had to just chuck it out.
