      Hi All,.

I would like to retrofit cruise control - Tempomat in my Passat B5 3B2 1.9TDI AFN January 1997 (with low cost aftermarket, ebay like parts...)
It's driven by my daughter, I take care of it as an hobby, I already got lot of info on how to do it, but I have the following doubts:

      There are mainly 2 types of stalks/switches for selling, 8L0 953 513 A and 18G 953 513 A, and both offered as a packge with same wire loom 1J1 970 011 F

(I noticed now that I don't have yet 5 post, so I can't post links, had to remove them and leave only text...)

      8L0 953 513 A (main button: +/RES/ON/OFF)

      18G 953 513 A (main button: ON/OFF only)

      1J1 970 011 F
      "https://1drv.ms/u/s!AuB29YHJMk-3hIhP05q33zFyAbrTcA"

I think it should be the 8L0 953 513 A, but as it looks both can use the same wiring, can I instead use the 18G 953 513 A ?

Or none of them will work with the wiring 1J1 970 011 F ?

In that case, I could make the wiring myself if I could get the schematics or the info on where to connect the pins (or signals) of the cruise control switch...

      Engine ECU Bosch MSA 15: 0 281 001 555/556 (VW id: 028906021DT)

      VIN no: WVWZZZ3BZVE035252

      Thanks

They should both work. I prefer the 18G as it's easier to adjust speed with a fingertip. I've upgraded to the 18G on my Passats, but I already had CC on them.

Thank you. As the upgrade to 18G worked without any modification, with the same wiring and connectors I suppose , it should work for my Passat also. I also prefer the 18G.
      Thanks again.
