My wife's MK6 Jetta developed a water leak so after some diagnosis it looked like the coolant pump failed and ordered a new one. So removed quite some parts to get to the pump and when I removed it it I noticed some oil. When I looked into the repair manual I noticed that the thermostat/coolant pump is directly connected to the oil cooler.
I do not really feel like just replacing the coolant pump as I might have a problem with the oil cooler. Has anyone reported such an issue? I do not see any oil in the expansion reservoir or anywhere else.
Any advise. I have a lot of experience with the AMB 18T on my audi A4 but not much with this EA888.
