Nice, enjoy! Is it a 2013 model year? How many miles on the clock?

It’s a real shame that Audi doesn’t offer manual transmission on their current cars in the US. Unlike Porsche and Volkswagen owners, very few Audi owners In the US went with manual so they pretty much put the nail in the coffin. I looked into picking up a 2013 Audi TTRS instead of waiting for a 2022 Golf 8 R, but I couldn’t find one with low mileage and manual transmission in SoCal and then realized that my 7 year old would be too tall to fit in the back.

Be careful about putting your kids in the back if they are tall. There needs to be a certain amount of clearance between the glass and the top of the child’s head (check the manual)...

wife already said no kids in the back , they're small enough but this is just for me.

      yes it's a 2013, 38k on the clock and 2 prior owners.

      here's the sticker

yeah that's a good compromise, 2022 R is going to be a hoot, congrats!

LOL he passed on the exclusive blue one because of a tune. Presumably he wants to keep the CPO warranty intact. Your advice is bad.

Congratulations on the TTRS. They’re special cars and since you’re a VAG nerd I’m sure you’ll love it. I still remember seeing a Panther Black Crystal one at Watkins Glen that was absolutely stunning in the direct sunlight. I hope it brings you many smiles.

"Drop the pan" involves removing the entire front bottom of the car also - Steering linkage, control arms, rack, subframe... Everything.
Yep, it's not a one person job. especially if not done on a lift.
Two of my buddies recently got E92's and those motors sound amazing with a nice exhaust and intake. The ITB's make some great induction noises.

I totally called it. Congrats, OP. The MK4 R32 is definitely special, but this is something you can still put guilt-free miles on (especially since it's CPO) and turn around and won't have much depreciation on.

Yeah I passed on the blue one but if someone is interested, it's going to be on bringatrailer soon. The seller is an awesome guy, just happens that I wanted a stock one. I've bought modified cars before and have no issue doing so, the CPO was icing on the cake on this one. Plus its 4hrs closer

I get where he's coming from, the potential is hard to keep bottled up. We all end up modifying it at some point ... I want to get this out of my system before jumping into a 911 probably

There were a few R32s out there but the prices were all over the place, the nice clean ones people wanted 30k+ ... I love the R32, but the TTRS is such a better car for roughly the same price. In my dreams I have big turbo R32 . I'll enjoy this until something else catches my attention .

Thanks guys! Its getting a PPI done hopefully this week and I'll pick it up next week. Can't wait, I'm stoked!!

Very nice B10 Alpina for sale on Pelican Parts just now. Twin turbo E34 madness. And rarity.

forgot to mention, it's been CPO'd in 2017, so warranty until 2022 apparently and a set of unused winter wheels with tires.

      I just saw this thread!

A lot has changed since we first started talking about this. SCHWAB0 and I are real life Facebook friends, so have we been chatting about this topic for some time. Unfortunately 991 prices have all gone up quite considerably in the interim. A cool 911T that was previously 78-80k is now in the 90s. Meanwhile, 997s don't seem to have been affected with the market inflation. In fact, I have seen more clean 09s for sale lately than ever before. If doing a 997 turbo, it MUST be an 09. My 09 was so much tighter of a car than my 07 was. The 09s also have most of the 997.2 updates, also a must. I wouldn't even bother looking at earlier models frankly.

Edit: I see the TT-RS now. When you do get your 911, we will re-evaluate

Yeah brotha, I've looked long and hard and everytime I looked at something I liked .. it was either sold or salvage/rebuilt title ... I had the budget set to 60, maybe 65k. It's only going to get worse ... Sent a msg to a bloke in Chicago this weekend and asked to stop by and check it out and that's where it stayed. No real rush to sell looks like either on the part of the owners. I started back to R32s and then for the same price found a minty mint TTRS .. I'll send you more pics via FB, it's really upkept and smells new and the rear and passenger seats almost unused. ...

We'll see how long I'll be able to hold off ... this is such a great buy IMHO ... I couldn't resist.

PS: Congrats on the new new
