Do you work somewhere where, once you park your car, you're basically looking out at it all day?

I once worked at a place like this and I feel this is almost bad for the soul.

I don't like seeing my car at work. I like just going to it after work.

But I do like seeing it at home all the time.

When I did commute to the office, and could do so by motorcycle, I always parked within view of my office window just to make sure no funny business happened with my motorcycle.

Now with WFH for the indefinite future I can stare at my cars all day, although I am tempted to take breaks to wrench on the MKI.

I technically can, since my cubicle overlooks the parking garage but I'm not parking on the roof of the garage. Plus, I think it would be a tease to do so all day long.

When I have to go into the office, it depends on where I find a parking spot. Some places I can see from my office, most I can't.

As I've been working from home since February though... I can look at my car all day long on my camera.

If you turn back to look at your car every time you walk away, you know you bought the right car.

If you need to look at it all day, you're holding on too tight.

I recently had my parking spot "upgraded" to the front of the building just 30 feet outside my office window. It's nice to be close but I think I actually prefer my old spot (where I couldn't see it) because there were no customer cars and what not parking beside it.

If it's parked outside and I can see it all day long, I will constantly be distracted trying to make sure it's ok.

In normal times, no, I park at a train station and then ride a train 20 miles.

Currently, sorta, my office overlooks the driveway, but can’t really see the garage from my desk, and the cameras face away from the garage.

I can see into the house next door to the kitchen/living room and the cute mom who usually hangs out in there though

No, but this is my building so I have an engine stand with a 36 horse on it here at my shop and if I stand up and take a few steps I can see it. Oh, and my EMPI wheels. I can see those, too.

      Does that count?

I could, but I park further away so my employees have a decent place to park. But I can stare at my spare truck, so that’s not too bad.

WFH- sure. I sometimes take conference calls in the garage so I can tinker. Shhhh

At the office? Nope. Car goes in an enclosed parking garage in a physically separate wing of the building. Car is either at basement level or first 3 floors and office is on the 18th floor. Besides, the STI isn't really pretty enough to stare at. Fun to drive though.

Nope---I can't see inside the garage from inside the house, nor can I see the front of my house from my office.

It's somewhere underground under that park.

Huge window right behind my desk. It’s nice, even though the parking situation sucks here.

If you're the red R, it looks like you're smelling the bumper of that Wrangler....

Technically no. But, my parts department view opens into our shared shop with Audi, soooo most days I can see at least one A6 basically identical to mine

Now that I am working from home, my car is sitting outside less than 4 feet away from where I am working.
It also shows up on my Bluetooth devices list, on my iPhone, since I am sitting so close to it.
