Didn't see a thread for this one.

Cooler temps, longer night, earlier start (if my math is right it'll begin at 8:30amEST).

In the U.S. it will be shown on Motor Trend TV (previously what was Fox Sports and prior to that SPEED), and also on their app.

      Qualifying tomorrow!

Upon my word I have had as much excitement on a car as in the air, especially since the R.F.C. have had women drivers. -James Byford McCudden

With the longer night portion I think I'll just be checking the high lights instead of watching big chunks of the race. To be honest I'm not even sure who the favorites are anymore so I'll be going in with clear eyes.

I am curious to see how it goes for sure. I don't have anything going on this weekend and live coverage is included with my MotorTrend On Demand membership, but I'm not sure if it's the "good" coverage or the crap coverage where it's just the 3rd rate announcers and a few stationary webcams rather than the broadcast quality coverage. They have the 2019 race recording up again and it appears to be the broadcast TV crew and cameras, so I'm hopeful that's what it's going to be this year too. I've maintained that the $5.99/mo for MTOD is a great deal and that's with me basically never watching live events. I guess this would be the first live event I'll be watching via the app and it looks promising.

I love the night racing, something surreal about it and glowing rotors is my sorta disco ball

Just found the spotters guide, surprised there are no corvettes this year . I expect a Toyota win, but always lots of good racing no matter what. Starts at 5.30 am Saturday on the west coast. Full coverage on velocity in Canada if you’re planning on watching it

Ha, I had no idea they ran such a deal. Might do that next year I guess. But yeah - good race so far! I'm glad the Motortrend feed is the Eurosport feed. It's so strange though when they were doing the pre-race ceremonies and having the stands completely empty.

Weather looks pretty good for Le Mans I guess, highs in the mid 70s, some typical rain overnight, and they were saying this race will have an extra 4 hours of nighttime. I hardly watch any autoracing anymore but Le Mans is exciting every year, even when I have no idea what the new rules are for each class or who any of the drivers are. What a truly special race.

I'm in the same boat. I don't really watch motorsports, I generally don't find it interesting despite racing in the 24h of Lemons and being a gearhead; yet every year I'm glued to the tvs for Le Mans. This year is a bit sad as my yearly pool watch party is a no-go; but we have our health and we have our race. Here I am in front of the TV(s) as usual. Really need one large TV for the Eurosport stream, 1 to 2 smaller monitors for in-car streams (although this year doesn't have as many options as usual. Ford and Corvette were big on in-car streams), and one for timing.

First hour was kind of nuts, lots of drama. It's quieted down a bit for hour #2. I haven't picked up on any interesting storylines yet, but it's still early.

I just signed up for Motortrend On Demand. They're running a special for new subscribers - $24 for a full year. That gets you this year AND next year's Le Mans. (Assuming it's in June next year)

They got me back as a subscriber for this race and for $24 bucks its a good deal.

Someone above mentioned the vettes, the C8 team withdrew due to covid.

Kids and I are cheering for the Porsche Factory team. My company has been spending some bucks on customers trips in ATL to the Porsche Hq and driving experiences. I was a full blown Ferrari fan boy until 3 years ago when we started doing the Porsche experience. The ATL folks have fully converted me and I cant wait until we start doing trips again since Im missing my 911 seat time.

I signed up when Automobile magazine eliminated their print version. I got MToD free for 6 months and am now paying $5/month. I am going to cancel and join the Haggerty Drivers Club which include MToD as well as their magazine, product discounts, and invites to driving events. It's only $45.

Sucks because I paid for a trip to be there this year and COVID happened. At least I saw them in Austin this year and I’ll get to Le Mans next year.

GTE PRO is amazing this year. Well hell, we're 14 hours in and LMP2 is 25s and GTE AM is 17s between 1 and 2. Rebellion is only a lap down from Toyota #8. When I pass out I'll randomly wake up to find the whole thing gets jumbled in typical Le Mans fashion

Looks like barring any major issue, Toyota will take the overall again. Aston taking first in GTE Pro is still better than Ferrari taking it.

What an amazing race! Other than P1, all 3 of the other classes had 1st and 2nd separated by under 2 minutes with GTE Am having 1-2-3 all within 1 minute, and all different makes, Aston, Porsche, Ferrari. Wow!

+1 What happened to the AMR Aston? It was leading the TF Sport Aston, I doze off and it's dropped way back.
